Nate Richard’s review published on Letterboxd:
Honestly The Hunt ain't half bad. Sure the social commentary is very surface level and blatant, but I appreciate the overall message. Tonally this is all over the place, one moment it feels like a Purge movie, the next it feels like a political satire and it doesn't feel like the filmmakers could decide which they wanted to go for. Betty Gilpin kicks ass in the lead role, I've always loved her on GLOW, but here she proves than capable of carrying her own action film. Certainly not as bad as some say, but it's also not nearly as smart as it thinks it is.
