What a great movie this was. Don't get me wrong, you don't have to be high for it to be great. It's just a great movie, but it did make it better. I started this movie and was thoroughly enjoying it, then I smoked about half way through, and it got 10 times funnier. I was laughing out loud at my screen throughout the majority of the last half. The dialogue is hilarious, there's some great visual comedy, Veronica Lake is hot as hell, and Joel McCrea is actually really really funny. It also has a great message and a heart felt ending that completely surprised me and had me feeling giddy for several minutes afterwards. It also features some great commentary on Hollywood and it's relationship to the people sprinkled in throughout that really added to the whole experience. I'll probably be revisiting this one soon.
