“You’re the wind under my frickin’ wings...my buffalo wings.”
I’m really surprised at the hype behind Jackie. I found it to offer little in substance and way too much in trivial artistic flourishes. That goes for Portman’s performance, the dialogue, the score and the cinematography. It’s all intentionally oblique and stilted serving no greater purpose than to look unconventional. And the frequent comparisons to Under the Skin are awfully silly seeing as there's barely a sense of interiority to this film whatsoever. I walked out of the theater with no better sense of who Jackie Kennedy was than when I walked in.
