Callahanathon part 2: Dirty Harry vs. Dirtier Cops!
Not as thrilling or action packed as the first film, and maybe a tad overlong, director Ted Post delivers a much more workman-like crime thriller, there's a lot of talk devoted to ballistics, must've been new at the time, but despite that this is an enjoyable movie, as a killer dressed as a motorcycle cop is killing criminals and thugs and Callahan has to get to the bottom of it. After the killer's identity is revealed there's a nice twist, I dug it.
Has a cast that includes Hal Holbrook, David Soul, Tim Matheson, Robert Ulrich, and Felton Perry, and features an airplane hijacking, robberies, shootouts, explosions, car chases, a naked woman tumbling out a window, throat chops, pimp murder, and a kicking theme song by Lalo Schifrin.
"I hate the goddamn system, but until someone comes along with some changes that make sense, I'll stick with it!"
