Yorgos Lanthimos is quickly becoming one of my ... favourite directors!
All joking aside, this film is awesome. Yorgos style just works in this setting.
I love that they cast Olivia Colman for this role, it's perfect for here. I really hope we see a lot more of here in the future, she's extremely talented and deserves the Oscar buzz. Same for Emma Stone and Rachel Weisz.
Also did I mention that it's all delivered in a beautiful package. Of course you know that. But the use of fish eye is briljant, it adds just another layer of absurdity where it's needed.
I love the dark, moody scenes. I LOVE IT.
The humour, it's laugh at loud funny. And I was not the only one who was laughing, the whole theater was. Yeah it's the most mainstream Lanthimos has been. That's a good thing, so more cinema goers can fall in love with this wonderful director.
