Noir-November Challenge! Movie #45
ChinaTown is like a fine wine! It is meant to be savored! First your eyes drink in its robust color, you swirl your glass slowly and bring the glass below your nose and inhale its rich bouquet! You sip and swish it gently within your mouth until your palate has registered every sweet and earthy note! You see it's not about drinking it's about a celebration and appreciation if you will for a thing of beauty and exquisite taste! Savor ChinaTown like the fine wine that it is and you will be greatly rewarded!
ChinaTown isn't a movie about solving a crime and arresting the bad guys! It is about tragic circumstances and tragic characters and their destinies damned by fate not by the institution of right or wrong! For fate has nothing to do with justice!
Powerhouse performances are a given when your film stars Jack Nicholson, Faye Dunaway and John Huston!
