Naweed’s review published on Letterboxd:
A dark comedy on a very serious and disturbing issue. Carey Mulligan gives one of the best performances of the year. As laugh out loud as some parts were, that’s how disturbing other scenes were.
I just want to reiterate how happy I am the Me Too movement happened so we as a society can take this rape culture were in seriously and shed a light on it.
The ending will be divisive and it really gave me a pit in my stomach. But I had no issues with it even though I wouldn’t have minded a happy ending.
The screenplay, editing, and of course Carey’s performance make this one of the best films of the year.
