I love my dad but I also want Jeff Daniels to be my dad.
Second best 1998 film about a basic white guy trapped in a metaphorical garden of eden who learns about the power of free will, the physical representation of which is a TV sitcom 50's suburban dream world that is corrupted by counter culture.

Underrated. The last 20 minutes is a let down but the first 90 is so so good. Every character feels so true, Blanchett is terrific, and Raimi creates so much tension with his camera and rhythm, especially in the courtroom scenes.
Good shit all around.
