Neature’s review published on Letterboxd:
Nomadland is a film that is quiet and contemplative, plotting along at its own place without ever being boring. The spontaneous interactions and conversations between Fren (Francis McDormand) and the people she meets on the road are charming and sometimes heartbreaking. While Chloé Zhao touches on some issues like how Amazon treats its workforce and how America casts aside the elderly population largely without a way to make a living, those issues remain mostly behind the scenes. This is more of a film for everyone than a film about having those difficult discussions. That being said, there is still a lot of good here and I can’t wait to see what’s next from Zhao.
