Bill Arceneaux’s review published on Letterboxd :
Post Obama, current Trump? How about next Sunday A.D.? Amirpour crafts an America from the skin and meat of awful people doing awful things, in a landscape that only breeds and encourages such behavior. There may not be an endgame to her portrait, but the portrait is enough. It's PUNISHMENT PARK but coy and a bit playful. Contradictory? Too oddball for its own good? Yes and no to both. This is a movie that is confidently itself, but its "self" is either terribly aggressive with provocativeness or confused as to what it wants to say.
Still, it exists. And that's astonishing.
