Bill Arceneaux’s review published on Letterboxd :
If Roland Emmerich adapted an Alejandro Jodorowsky comic. If Troy Duffy made STAR CRASH. If only I could properly describe this movie. Colorful to the point of becoming pure light, dimmed only by the deep 3D projection. Goofy and fun in all the right places, dull and over expository in all the wrong ways. Cinematic invention and craft done better than JUPITER ASCENDING (an appropriate film to compare), but not quite as near seamless as AVATAR.
Rihanna strip teases as Ethan Hawke plays music. When you do a cameo, you do it up.
