Serving as the final entry in phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Spider-man Far From Home is a fun and delightful superhero film that does what it needs to do with ample amount of heart and soul. It's far from perfect (please don't pick up the pitchforks for that) but it is certainly an entertaining ride.
I can't decide whether I preferred this one or Homecoming. On one hand while I certainly enjoyed this movie more than the latter it's also much more flawed than what came before it. The pacing in the middle can be a little bothersome and the jokes were hit or miss.
But there are some obvious step ups from the first one. For one thing, the action sequences have gotten a lot more better and the visuals fail to disappoint. Jake Gyllenhaal is having a blast as Mysterio and I enjoyed what they did with his character in the movies; even some of the corny bits with him. Tom Holland is always great and the rest of the cast is spot on.
I did find it bothersome that a certain relationships started without any proper build up whatsoever. I would have like to have seen this particular relationship set up in a much better way. But mostly this movie is a blast to watch for Marvel fans who just seek some escapist fun. Plus that mid credits stinger alone is worth watching the entire film.
