Although I admired certain aspects of the flawed storyline, Spenser Confidential is generic, lazy and stupid. The film shouldn’t be 110 minutes long and Mark Wahlberg (like in every other film he’s in nowadays) is not used to his full potential like he was in Paul Thomas Anderson’s Boogie Nights (1997).
