    ★★★★½

GOD IT’S GOING TO BE SO HARD TO PUT INTO WORDS HOW MUCH I ADORE AND LOVE THIS MOVIE.

David F. Sandberg? I’d like to thank you for making me feel like the same 4 year-old who would adore and obsess over anything superhero-related I was 11 years ago.

I haven’t walked out of a movie feeling this much hope for a franchise’s future since 2015 when I walked out of The Force Awakens.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice

    ★★

This review is going to mostly be about how this movie completely butchers the characters or Batman and Superman. So let me start this out by saying as a film, it is decent. Now onto the nerd rant.

Don’t even get me started on how badly they butcher these characters compared to their comic counterparts, Jared Leto’s joker might be the worst adaptation of any comic character ever.

Only giving the .5 because there was one singular scene where Batman was done right, for the first time in the DCEU.

    Spider-Man: Homecoming

    ★★★★

I’m going to phrase a very common saying a bit differently so it’s easier to understand, Spider-Man: Homecoming is a well-made film, but it represents the title character poorly. The backbone of every good Spider-Man story, arguably even his character in general, is the fact that being Spider-man damn near ruins Peter’s life on a daily basis. That’s simply not present in this movie aside from one scene. There’s also the fact that Peter is supposed to be a loner…
