Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith ★★★½

(definitely unintentional rating)

Hey, look! A prequel that I actually do like!

This genuinely feels like the story Lucas wanted to tell along. A story of a good man turned to the dark path, despite still wanting to save the people he loves. It's a tragedy, eventually, as even after doing his best, the people he loves die, and so does he lose most of himself. It's Shakespearean, almost.

Yes, a lot of the dialogue is still godawful, a lot of it is still skippable on rewatches, but this one, I don't know man, the good parts are so *fucking* good they genuinely stick with you. It's sad but hopeful in such a weird way.

Its safe to say that on rewatch, while I still individually consider the first two to be godawful, I've come to appreciate the unique singular vision of the Prequel Trilogy much more. It's the story Lucas wants to tell, and he's telling it in the grandest way possible. It's far far far from perfect and even good mostly, but it's a *vision*.
