Nev D’Souza’s review published on Letterboxd:
Two neighbouring spouses in an apparent block strike up a friendship after they suspect their other halves are having an affair. But how long can their friendship last before feelings intensify and an attraction is formed? Wong Kar-Wai's romantic drama is delicate, pure and absolutely exquisite. There's ravishing slow-motion glances, a beautiful score and striking stripes and prints for Su's (Maggie Cheung) ever-changing dresses - shout-out to the costume designer! The camerawork particularly captivates during long corridor shots. I loved the scene of the rehearsed "are you having an affair" confrontation.
