At one point in Pig, Nicholas Cage orders something from a food cart and we never get to see what it actually is. While I liked that the movie isn’t exactly John Wick but a more tender drama, this scene probably encapsulates my problem with it: it’s so concerned with manufacturing gravitas, it forgets to actually appreciate the food.
