Film #21 of My Hooptober Halloween Horror-thon
This movie has been on my radar for a while now. Once I hear that a teenager from Long Island made some Super 8 horror movies I don't care what other people have to say about them, I need to see them.
Having watched his first three movies by the time I'm writing these up, I can say I'm a gigantic Nathan Schiff fan. I love what Zappa would call the Cheepnis, I love the Lawn Guy Land accents ("Oh my gawd, I thawght you were a mawnstuh"), and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the gore.
The plot is actually there and is pretty entertaining. It actually makes much more sense than I expected it to. The gore, though, is most likely why you come to a movie like this. Well, the gore and the idea of watching some late teens/early 20's dudes play with chainsaws (yes it is a real chainsaw...yes it is entirely as reckless as it looks).
As soon as this one finished I couldn't wait to put in Weasels Rip My Flesh. Instant super fan right here.
