Borders on brilliant but largely uninteresting. It's a grueling experience which is expected but more specific and constructive in its seething and exasperated cruelty (Dario passive-aggressive over the grandchild at the table, for example. Very good performance) which remains unobtrusive (surprisingly) for most part. The deliberate and respectful intent just doesn't earn or display the tenderness(?) it's reaching and yearning for because the length and overall sensibilities nearly beg for that nightmarish threat of impending danger and doom. Life sucks!…
