  Men in Black 1997

  I might sound crazy, but just bear with me.

  Men In Black is a perfect movie. It accomplishes everything it set out to do. It masterfully mixes a viscerally scary villain with the goofiness of “every day” aliens. The script is fucking hilarious & the set pieces are iconic. D’Onofrio’s performance is phenomenal. There’s absolutely nothing more I could’ve wanted out of this film.

  I don’t trust a single man’s opinion on this movie

  
  this movie tackles trafficking of young girls which is something no MCU project has even tried to conquer. Does it get “MCU-ified” in the end? Sure. But the themes carry through & the espionage aspects fills the cracks.

  This is a movie that will need a rewatch (or two) to fully wrap my head around. This is a movie that not everyone will like.

  The first two acts use of an ominous, uncomfortable sound & score to create an almost claustrophobic feeling associated with our monster in the sky.

  Jordan Peele delivers a hell of a third act filled with Speilberg-ian spectacle. The tension had me buckled in my seat when all I wanted was to jump up and cheer.…
