Spider-Man: Far from Home

Spider-Man: Far from Home ★★★★½

The last time I saw this movie was when it was released back in 2019 and I loved it! But as time went on I some how convinced myself that it wasn’t as good as what I’d thought! But I’m glad I rewatched it because I’d truly forgotten how good this movie is!

I think this movie is a lot better than Spider-Man: Homecoming, I still really enjoy that film but something about it never clicked for me! But the last time I saw it was back in 2017 so my opinions could’ve changed! Nevertheless, I think there’s something so exciting and thrilling about this movie! It has basically everything you’d want out of a Spider-Man MCU movie! Tom Holland’s Peter Parker is my favourite version of the character! He feels brand new and his whole story with Tony Stark is wonderful! He’s funny and quirky but he still has his serious side! Speaking of funny, this film is hilarious! I laughed out loud several times and it just shows how fantastic the writing is! The way the MCU crafts stories and makes us feel things for these characters is remarkable! Zendaya is brilliant as MJ, her and Peter are truly one of the best couples in the MCU and every scene they share together is a delight! Jake Gyllenhaal’s Mysterio has so much depth and intrigue within his character! Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury is one of the best non-superhero characters within the MCU and he’s always a treat! After I saw this movie for the first time I kept thinking that it wasn’t as important as the other films for a few reasons but oh how wrong I was! We realise the dangers of Stark Industries tech, how Tony’s death effected the world and two exciting reveals as to what’s to come in the future for the MCU! The film does tend to go back and forward a bit but that never effected my enjoyment of this highly entertaining thrill ride!

Overall, Spider-Man: Far From Home is another fantastic edition to the MCU that opens many gates for future instalments! I am beyond excited for Spider-Man 3 as I cannot get enough of this amazing universe!
