"Chemistry like this doesn't just happen. This has got a reboot written all over it!"

This level of madness is what I expect Multiverse of Madness would be. I came to this blindly without knowing anything, so every scene is a surprise. It's genuinely hilarious, and it's going meta. Right off the bat, I'm sold.

When something significant happens in our life, we tend to reflect on past relationships and friendships. Trying to repair the broken bond is not easy, especially acknowledging we are responsible for the fracture. That's what happens with Aood in One for the Road.

A pretty animation with a story divided into several tales from different countries. What sets it apart is that it relies heavily on the background and the shape of the characters, as most of them are silhouettes. Despite its simplicity, the film radiates beauty. The story takes place on a single night, in a small theater, following three cinema technicians who tell stories by performing them on stage. The structure reminds me of the film Three Thousand Years of Longing.

Visually, this movie is a like a dusty vintage children's book you find in your grandma's house. The one you fall asleep reading it and end up having a trippy dream about the book. It's a folktale with stunning and psychedelic visuals, and I love the combination of those faded colors and wiggly lines. I genuinely love what I saw, but sadly, the visuals alone can't make up for the uninteresting plot.

The line "We will now begin to help you with your final move" always hit me hard. I think I will keep the mindset that even the deceased can speak to cope with loss and grief from now on.
