Niall Blackie’s review published on Letterboxd:
Perhaps not the film I was originally expecting however this film tells such a compelling story of family, friendships, community and everything that life has to throw at you, that I found myself becoming quite taken by it.
Really though I think my real reason for enjoying it so much was down to Sonia Braga, my word what a beautiful, layered and transfixing performance. She simply owns the screen and gave a far better performance than some best actress nominees have given in recent years. For her percormance alone is this a film that should be watched.
