Love the premise and the story - but my God the acting is horrendous for the first half of the film. It's like the main actors had a lobotomy and didn't know what the hell they were supposed to be doing. Got better in the second half thankfully.

The Reluctant Fundamentalist 2012
WOW! Hugely underrated political thriller. Riz Ahmed is astounding and manages to out-act the likes of Liev Schrieber, Kate Hudson and Kiefer Sutherland.
A great storyline which throws a curveball to the well-treaded "rags to riches" story - from a completely different angle.
Riz is an amazing talent and deserves more acclaim than what he gets. I am just disappointed that it took me so long to watch this great film.

The Conspirator 2010
Good film - slow burner but I thought that the pacing was spot on for what is an historical period drama. I never even knew about the intrigue behind Lincoln's assassination so this was a learning experience for me. Great to see Robin Wright Penn and Toby Kebbell in a film again - great, undervalued actors of the current film generation.
