An uprising? A sustainable cynicism within the Americana, and the American suburbs, the degradation of the American Dream.

If you don’t laugh, you will cry. Satire.

The focus is on the cynical humour some American filmmakers employ in their 'comedies'. At the forefront of this, in my opinion, is Todd Solondz and Alex Ross Perry, both with this great taste for the more bitter aspects of life and poking fun at them.
