I like movies, thanks.
This is by far one of, if the not the worst movie I’ve ever seen. The acting from start to finish is unforgivably bad. There’s nothing good about this how is this even a movie? It felt 5 hours long.
Also they have a typo on the intro credits misspelling the word entertainment when listing a fucking studio that produced this atrocity. How. How the hell.
I didn’t imagine I’d give a shit about chess and at times the way they talk about it felt a little cheesy but overall this was very well done. The story starts strong and almost felt like a more serious series of unfortunate events and then kind of reminded me of one flew over the cuckoos nest for a bit. By episode 6 or so there’s a very noticeable pacing shift and things feel a little less interesting. It comes…
Unbelievably sweet film about life and death and the importance of the time you have. Everything was perfect and I have no complaints. It reminded me of a lot of moments in my own life and just felt so so so genuine. Just the final gut punch monologue alone is 10/10 material. Beautiful and concise slice of life at under an hour and a half.
Rest In Peace to Brian Dennehy who died before this even came out. Incredible performance that deserves praise. Also the child actors were remarkably full of depth.
