  This movie physically tore apart the fabric of my being and stitched it together to make me someone new.

  I texted multiple people after watching it to let them know that I felt like I had "taken heroin and been hit by a truck at the same time."

  Although I was sitting perfectly still while watching, I looked in the mirror afterward and found my hair extremely disheveled.

  "Even at my age, in my work... I haven't reached perfection."

  I came into this expecting to watch a good documentary about sushi. What I got was an incredible meditation on creativity, dedication to your craft, and the importance of legacy. For perfectly weaving in these unexpected themes, Jiro Dreams of Sushi deserves every ounce of praise it's ever received.
