CAPSULE REVIEW: This mother-grabbing schlock-fest is impossible to differentiate with other Italian spaghetti-sci fi's with a post-apocalyptic scenario as a backdrop if it weren't for all the mother-grabbing exclamations declaring such and such being something mother-grabbing. The hero dresses like a gay new-waver/punk-rocker, only lacking the naked butt cheeks peering through his pantaloons. One of the most interesting tidbits about "Exterminators Of The Year 3000" I found out by reading Wikipedia is that the director Giuliano Carmineo (credited as Jules Harrison), his writers and/or producers didn't want the actors to change the clunky dialogue to sound more accurate, making this a fun watch indeed. There are long stretches were nothing really happens and the car chases (with hopped up dune buggies or demolition derby vehicles) are not bad but sparse. I'd rather watch this than any found footage movie but I can't say that "Exterminators Of The Year 3000" is the best post-apocalyptic cheese from the 80's. Not even by its own standards.
