the "stolen pig to chef fight club" pipeline is real and nobody is talking about that
(this movie changed my life so i have to joke about it thanks for understanding)
So fun, surreally current, and it really got me with those jump scares no lie!
I had an unexpectedly good time and was so inspired by the "who needs a studio" talent. This was heartwarmingly home made, and I know that sounds like an insult, like I'm trashing on their budget or whatever but nah it was a hoot! Way to make a banger folks!
Man I really liked this! I was too immersed to say why it worked for me but it sure did! Def didnt get it that much tho haha might rewatch. Just not a "understand movies the first time" kinda gal smh
Good stuff tho! Spooky!!
I wanted a gothic aesthetic, hot vampire fashion, convoluted lore, and over the top action. I got all of those things! I love the visuals from start to finish, the overwhelming greyness and dampness of it all and the shiny! cat! suit!
The final action sequence was so SO much better in this one than the first movie!! They set it up super well to have a decent body count, exciting interaction with the environment, overall better choreography, and more…
"I'd like to make your body my personal jungle gym"
Shakespear could never !!!!
Unrivaled dialogue
No idea how to rate this gorgeous and tripped out oceanic dreamscape but it was beautifulllll
And also weird and erotic and uhhh gay?? Idk. Tentacles? I was very lost the whole gosh darn time. There was something so enchanting about those woolen jumpers.
The sounds and score of this whole movie were so awesome what a bop
F o g h o r n s o u n d s
I always feel weird reviewing films that i watched without subtitles bc my poor auditory processing makes it impossible to catch the plot but this movie was GORGEOUS and gay and had interesting historical backdrop and mohawks and the combat choreography was ungodly amazing so yes ty Atomic Blonde
Fr the combat was so fun
Absolute banger!! Beautiful and unsettling and brilliantly adapted and acted and directed! Incredibly faithful to the source material which slapped!!
Having read the book first I was initially a little disappointed that this movie didnt pay more respect to Eleanor and Theo's relationship, just bc it seemed to focus more on their conflicts than their positive moments, and also the movie cut out their dream to one day picnic together by the river together which like!! That was so beautiful…
