Not only the best Hollywood movie of the year, but a true masterpiece that exceeds its already exceptional predecessor. The cinematography... oh the cinematography.

Solo: A Star Wars Story 2018
The force isn't with this one. It took a massive shit on the movie before divorcing its mother.

The Dark Tower 2017
I read every single book twice. I have waited years for an adaptation.
Now I want to die.

Bohemian Rhapsody 2018
Some historical inaccuracies, but Malek kills as Mercury. He's the force of this movie.

The Haunting of Hill House 2018
I usually don't like modern horror. Mostly because of cheap jump-scared, freshly cooked up material from the 70s, expandable characters and horrible CGI. And here comes Hill House, 2018.
I have never loved horror as much as I did with Hill House. Sure, Shining came to my mind, Alien, Halloween, The Thing etc. I've thought long about it, but after watchin Hill House for the 5th time... I cannot express the love I share for this series. This is a modern anomaly. PLEASE. WATCH. IT. Because I cannot find a single thing I don't love about The Haunting Of Hill House. -
Bad Times at the El Royale 2018
Loved this one more than Hateful Eight. Such a fun cooking pot of colorful characters with twists every few minutes. The soundtrack is spot-on, the cinematography atmospheric and Chris Hemsworth as a villain is a surprising blast. This wins the price of the not-Tarantino surprise of the year.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom 2018
I have never walked out of the cinema ever before. But with this I had to. What have you done? How could you? Please stop!

Alita: Battle Angel 2019
Nothing like the trailer. This movie has a heart. Alita is the most likable and relatable protagonist in a sci-fi movie since a while. Even though this movie is crammed, the worldbuilding is intriguing and shows it all in a way that it doesn't confuse the audience. It should have slowed down at some places, though. A sequel for this would be incredible.
