The tension headache from forcing back the tears at the ending was worth it :’-)

Not gonna lie for the sake of being contrarian and say this was good at all but I don’t agree that it’s the worst film ever made … the master’s character design is too great for me to give this less than one star, plus I did not hate the ending and the wife fight scene is lit (probably unintentionally) very spookily! Succeeds in evoking negative emotions so I guess it works as a horror movie … ?

Very very sad :( violence in this feels almost uncharacteristically understated (although there’s prob just as much of it in Takeshi’s other movies) compared to his usual but I think that’s just cus everything is very pessimistic and somber in this guy. I liked it but feel like you have to be in a v specific mood for it

Would have been more emotionally impactful if olaf had actually died and they’d had a wee grief & accepting change lesson but I guess not… also references to the original were too heavy handed imo but I guess it is child movie

Probs my fav Proctor movie yet, her works are so poignant and the extra foley & sound design does a lot to make the editing seamless when it needs to be :) queen!

normally don’t care about calling police movies ‘copaganda’ but the fact that this movie characterises prisoners as literal monsters with no nuance at all… what hardcore authoritarian wrote this
