Angelina Tjhung’s review published on Letterboxd:
Watching Ethan Hawke stare into a glass of pepto bismol was a euphoric experience i wasn’t expecting to find in my lifetime. Ironic, cutting, and just utterly bleak. I know it’s probably redundant to compare this to Taxi Driver, but the parallels here work so well together, I couldnt help but feel a sense of closure for Toller as well as Bickle by the end. Is Schrader giving Travis Bickle a second chance, almost four decades later? Love love loved it!
