I just wanted fish boy and panther girl to fall in love :(

Justice for Paul. He didn’t deserve any of that.

  • Firestarter

The story itself is quite unbelievable, and not in a good way. However, character development doesn’t get much better than this! I really formed an attachment to them and they felt like real people.

For some reason my theater is not playing Everything Everywhere All At Once so I had to see this instead 🙃

  • Morbius

I know it’s cool not to like Jared Leto right now and I think that’s a big reason why the ratings on this are so low. I hate to break it to you,but most of your hollywood faves are probably problematic in some way.

For a Marvel movie, I didn’t think this was bad. It got me crying at the sad parts and scared at the scary parts. Wasn’t funny though, despite attempting some humor and miserably failing.

For this being based on a true story, it sure was incredibly unrealistic! Spoiler: As if him getting frost bite, jumping off a literal cliff and still surviving wasn’t enough, they also had him float down a freezing cold river. And SOMEHOW SHE STILL FOUND AND RESCUED HIS ASS! He has no problem acting like a whiny baby making her carry him around, and then he just DRIVES AWAY LIKE A NORMAL PERSON???  Not one person in this film had ownership of a braincell.

Letterboxd……. Are you guys ok? I left the theater thinking that was possibly the saddest and most boring movie I’ve ever seen in my entire life. And from what I heard from the people around me in the theater, I thought almost everyone was in agreement on that. But then I log onto this site, and it has an average of 4.3 stars??? WHAT?!

I’ll sum up my feelings on this with a single sentence. After the movie ended and I…

It takes a long while for them to actually get into the action, but it’s great once they do! I was drawn to this for the Egyptian cinematography, but the plot itself ended up being just as worth it.

  • Dune

This movie is worth it just to look at how beautiful Timothee is. AMAZING cinematography. I didn’t even really mind how slow moving it could be at times because there was just so much to notice within the silence. The only thing I didn’t really like is how they’re relying so heavily on a sequel, that this movie didn’t have much of an ending. I didn’t want it to end because it felt like it was only just beginning! 😩

Regardless, I truly loved this and it had me captivated the entire time!

Made the unfortunate mistake of seeing this in the theater with my dad who turned to me and whispered “this is some weird shit” in my ear every two seconds! And, he’s not wrong. It definitely was some weird shit. But that was the whole point. My husband Dev Patel aced the performance as usual :)
