    Crying a river here.

Really really fun! But it’s not hard to have fun when you’re looking at Brad Pitt and Aaron Taylor-Johson on the big screen.

I love that John Goodman is in this.

Tonys in the mob really have a thing for Michelle Pfeiffer huh. I don’t blame them though, she is a goddess.

I want a Nancy Meyers summer where I end up with an ageing (but not really) Dr. Keanu Reeves.

  • Not Okay

    Not Okay

I’m gonna need a little break from movie portrayals of social media and internet culture in general from now on. Fun watch but the secondhand embarrassment is real, so I guess mission accomplished; kudos to the film. Very interested to see how this’ll age. I think it’ll be fun for the next few generations of teens to discover this the way I obsessed over 80s and 90s satirical comedies.

  • The Black Phone

    The Black Phone

    ★★★½

I don’t know if it’s just because I was watching this alone at night, but I found this really terrifying. This is definitely the kind of movie my brain would pattern its nightmares off of. I had no choice but to power through it though because I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. Ethan Hawke was so good, I wish we got to see more of him. That’s not to say the kids needed help carrying the film, their performances were also very impressive.

I’m ashamed to say I’ve been sleeping on Evan Rachel Wood, she is a really good actress.

Obviously, doctor, you’ve never been a thirteen-year-old girl.

I’m aware that this is the total opposite of the intended message, but damn I wish I was this cool when I was 13 (I’m still not this cool). I’ve been meaning to watch this for so long but I am just finding out that Nikki Reed co-wrote the screenplay, based on her own experiences as a 13-year-old, along with Catherine Hardwicke. It reminded me a lot of Drew Barrymore’s Poison Ivy.

The main performances were pretty great and the camera work was actually so entertaining, I loved it. The blue tint?? Come on!

I watched this for the plot…no seriously, it was so wild and insane that it ended up being really entertaining. But I also watched this for the hot cast. Neve Campbell, my god.
