Checked this out on Netflix last night based on a recommendation from the boys at Blank Check (#thetwofriends) after skipping it in theaters because the trailers made it look like a Disney cross-promotion ad.
Was pleasantly surprised to discover: this movie is great! Thoroughly enjoyable and deeply emotional with a relatable story about friendship.
The constant internet jokes got a bit tiresome in the middle (although some were really clever) but the ending really brought it home for me because it’s completely focused on the main characters and their relationship. This film has a surprisingly mature message about learning to deal with change. For me, this was kind of the better version of Toy Story 4.
