Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure

Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure ★★★★½

You know, I could write about the many flaws of this film and how I've overrated it with my score. I could talk about the cheesy dialogue, the aged CGI or the many time travel rules that are broken within this, but quite frankly, I'm not interested in that. This is a perfect film to watch when you just wanna be happy, and while some credit should go to the writing team, I think a lot of that falls on Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter.

Reeves is just totally believable as this excellent person, this good-natured dude and his chemistry with Winter is off the charts here. I'm surprised Winter didn't get many acting gigs after this, maybe there's a story that I'm not aware of but he's no slouch here. George Carlin was great in support here too. RIP Rufus.

There really isn't much to say to this one as it's not deep in any way. But the message of 'be excellent to each other' is a powerful one that still applies today, maybe more than ever. If more people were excellent to each other, there wouldn't be so many dickweeds running around.

This rocks.
