Didn’t get to far in the movie, because Jon’s girlfriend took the Lord’s name in vain when he surprised her by showing up in London. For those offended by things like this, this movie will offend you.
Romantic drama that uses chess as a storytelling concept for masculinity, mental health and obsession. Kinda loved this film but also kinda hated it. The performances are so good but I feel like the love plot doesn’t have enough obstacles to it. There’s quite a big shock at the end which muddles my feelings towards the film. Leaves on a sour sad note without much resolution.
Also not enough chess scenes (only 2) though they are cool
Wow this film is bad. I really enjoyed it because most of the cinema was laughing and so was I.
I think it would have worked better if they made this film even dumber. At the end when all the ships came I’d have liked to have seen Dexter Jexter, Wato and the Kaminos all there in their colourful ships. Where were the Ewoks in their wooden ship?!
The emperor even said “do it!”, I really hope the fan base…
Historically inaccurate, but the battle is great and a big fan of the interpretation of Henry. Robert Pattison was so strange that I wasn’t sure if I hated it or loved it. It definitely took me out of the film but I also laughed a lot and if films aren’t bringing you joy then what else do we watch em for?
Also thought it was funny how they’d randomly go into Shakespeare dialogue and then switch back to modern language.
It was worth watching but will never watch again. Praying NetFlix make a movie about Charles II. PLEASE.
