    They Live

That 15 minute alley brawl between Keith David and Roddy Piper was hilarious. Pretty much all of Piper's one liners are cringe/funny in a great way. The bubble gun line was a chef's kiss. Still I can't help but think this movie is a knockout with Kurt Russell in Piper's place. The band should've got back together.

  • Prince of Darkness

    Prince of Darkness

It's missing something. I would say a more charismatic lead. Otherwise I thought it was an interesting idea accompanied by the John Carpenter synth.

  • Village of the Damned

    Village of the Damned

It started out with so much promise, but neither Superman or Luke Skywalker could save us from the lame demon seed children.

  • The Last Duel

    The Last Duel

A perfect cast all the way down to the king of France. Incredible performances all around. Affleck is really chewing the scenery. Jodie Comer should get all the accolades. She has a lot of room to maneuver and displays the full range of emotions. Damon and Driver are a wonderful pair of shit heels. Considering the subject material it is a surprisingly enjoyable watch.

The Tennessee Waterfall that Matt Damon is sporting absolutely rules.

  • Vampires

Daniel Baldwin is a tough hang for an hour and a half.

  • Spiral: From the Book of Saw

Spiral: From the Book of Saw

This reeks of corporate american trying to make a dollar off anti police sentiment. Loaded with some very forgettable performances.

  • Zola

Loved some of the double framing in this movie about a Twitter thread. Interesting idea that paid off to me. Great casting all around.

I don't know what to make of it.

  • Little Shop of Horrors

    Little Shop of Horrors

When people say be a star in your role they are referring to the animatronics people of this movie.

  • The Thing

    The Thing

The amount of CGI is kinda blasphemous considering the source material.

  • The Good German

    The Good German

Once you get past the abomination that was the Tobey Maguire performance in this, there is a real shitty The Third Man/Casablanca wannabe movie.

I appreciate Soderbergh going for something different. Unfortunately this one will not be remembered fondly.

  • I Saw the Devil

    I Saw the Devil

For whatever reason I didn't connect on this one. Overly focused on revenge porn for my liking maybe? I think there is certainly good craftsmanship.
