Night 5 of 13 Nights of Halloween Horror 2018
“It's Halloween; everyone's entitled to one good scare.”
Halloween so perfectly captures the spirit of the titular holiday that it's hard for me to imagine a world where this movie doesn't exist. Sure, it spawned a bunch of pale imitations, but John Carpenter's 1978 film is an unequivocal masterpiece of the horror genre (and honestly, movies in general). Haven't actually seen any of this movie's sequels (although I did see Rob Zombie's lackluster remake back in high school), but I tell you what: I am super excited for David Gordon Green direct sequel to come out this Friday. Pumped.
