Elvis

Elvis

Headache. Pure Headache.

I knew exactly what I was getting myself into, I loved “The Great Gatsby". But this was exhausting to watch, Luhrmann‘s roller coaster filmmaking overshadows this great emotional story about a man being lost under the spotlight, somehow elevated by an electric performance by Austin Butler as Elvis who tries his best to work with what he has. Other then that I felt Emotionally disconnected from everything that is happening on the screen and don’t get me start talking about Hanks performance and our  narrator for the two hours and forty minutes run time. It’s all smoke and mirrors.
