It’s definitely not as good as Hereditary, but I still love Midsommar. I personally can’t understand liking this film better because I thought Hereditary did (not all) but most aspects better than this film. The only real problem with this film is that I just didn’t feel a true sense of terror. But despite that, I absolutely it. Florence Pugh did an amazing job, and so did Jack Raynor. I thought the writing was pretty spectacular, but then for some reason, every line that Will Poulter had was pretty horrible. They just didn’t sound real at all. I feel like I’m making this film sound bad, but believe me, this is not a bad movie. Honestly, it’s definitely one of the best of 2019. All in all, Ari Aster is a god.
