Noah Schwartz’s review published on Letterboxd:
Jamie Hewlett must've been so inspired by this for Plastic Beach. I can see a lot of inspiration from this in Moko Jumbie as well, but the themes explored here apply to so many movies from Spirited Away to Memories of Murder. A beautiful and harrowing encapsulation of a completely dead world, a world filled with memories of a forgotten age. This world is also alive, the objects are ghosts, brought to life through their movement in the wind and the abstract score that accompanies them.
