Have no recollection as to why I only gave this 4.5 when I last watched it 5 years ago, this is one of the of the fun aspects of maintaining a Letterboxd diary though

Some thoughts I had while watching The Whale:
-I guess subtlety was never Aronofsky’s style
-the interaction of Fraser’s performance with the prosthetics is the only thing that works in this movie. No doubt it was the best casting choice and I’m happy to see him enjoying this moment
-seems like a pretty out-of-touch depiction of how teens use social media these days
-No thank you
-it’s weird that his dead lover has the same name as the main…
