Frances 1982
Highly fictionalised account, which veers slightly into sensationalism at times, but Jessica Lange is excellent throughout and I think successfully communicates the terrible protracted suffering that Frances Farmer suffered in a time when there was no meaningful and successful treatment for mental illness, and no acceptance of women who were independent thinkers.

Sextette is not a good movie, but it’s a movie that is sure to make you happy even at the darkest of times. Don’t watch this movie with expectations of greatness or because you want to be clever and deride it. Just watch it in good fun, and you’ll enjoy it so much.
