I hoped this would be better since it is woman-directed. But it’s just a man’s idea of what a “female-empowerment” story should be. We get a female protagonist fueled by childhood rage who triumphs in every fight scene but has no autonomy in her life. She is controlled by shadowy pseudo-government agents who manipulate her life for their own ends.
And of course, after years of fighting to find a balance in her life, the only thing that gets her…
