• The Master

    The Master

    This is my ideal cast.

  • Spencer

I would be a defiant,self- sabotaging mess too if that amount of pressure was imposed on me.

  • Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief

Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief

    Human beings are weird...

The whole thing is heartbreaking and at the same time the honesty and the bravery of those who came out is just refreshing, man.

  • Last Night in Soho

    Last Night in Soho

The editor and the cinematographer had a field day with this one. Some of those shots are pure genius. It is so immersive and dreamy. It is charged and fast moving, but it does feel repetitive and drawn out in some places.

In my humble opinion, the art direction does not pair very well with the gruesome nature of the plot, everything is just too pretty and artificial.

  • The Harder They Fall

    The Harder They Fall

Boy did I underestimate this movie.Blew me away.

  • Finch

Shots of vast expansive landscapes enough for my much needed escapism...and enough humanity infused at the heart of it all.

CGI has come a long way and using it in this controlled manner shows restraint and a clear vision. It is a peaceful, delicate movie.

  • Drive

Yes the camera work is good in a subtle way ,you know..but i am so conflicted right now because i found this to be average but people seem to like it very much.

  • Chungking Express

    Chungking Express

My rating might change after a rewatch.

  • Boyhood

I don't mind the lack of narrative ,and i am actually impressed with the whole process of shooting over 12 years. The Before Trilogy worked on me because the dialogue was particularly strong and there was emotion at the heart of it.Here Mason grows up to be a guy you have no reason to care about.

  • Into the Wild

    Into the Wild

I have a problem with the editing to be honest, not very good in my opinion.

I kind of idolise the guy now, life is fleeting and living on your own terms seems right to me.The relationships he made on the way seemed so meaningful.

  • Booksmart

    Identity,aspirations and friendship...

Such a funny ,wild and romantic movie.I got out of it with like 5 new favourite songs.

  • Titane

4 stars because this is unforgettable and the lead never looked like she was acting,it felt so real ,every second of the movie.

I guess there is this new wave of dark, edgy ,surreal and hypersexual movies made by relative obscure studios, that I wasn't aware of.Not my kind of cinema but it is quite beautiful, never seen anything like it.The sheer audacity of it all is very impressive.
