My actual thoughts as the credits rolled on this one... “Ok, that WAS pretty cool.”
Expected the franchise to take a dive sooner, so this was a treat. It has some parts I LOVED (rednecks shooting innocent people, one liners out the ass, a performance by Donald Pleasence that deserves awards, Loomis with the whiskey preacher??!!, Mike ripping out throats on top of a truck) and also parts I hated (“Leave us alone, just leave us alone!”.... bitch he clearly ain’t leaving you alone). I think the older heroine does a great job being a relatable girl-next-door type. I already knew the ending was coming and I was still PSYCHED when it happened. Really a cashgrab but, most things are. And this isn’t really too bad. Over the top, but not as bad as it COULD have been in ‘88.
God damn did I really want to see those breast-eses. Oh well.
