I LOVED how DaCosta expands upon the first movie with this new one. It was obvious there was gonna be heavy social commentary with Peele writing the script, I just wish some of the dialogue/exposition wasn’t so heavy handed. I also loved how brilliantly they used Candyman as a vessel for racism / gentrification. Hell of a movie and a hell of a future in horror for DaCosta.
Loved seeing it from a black womans point of view rather than a white mans like the original director.
