The fascinating real-life story makes this a most interesting movie that held my interest from beginning to end and left me wanting more. Stellar acting, with Russell Crowe’s performance being especially noteworthy. Perfectly captured time period and great, appropriate music. The movie reminded me of the brilliant TV series "The Wire". The two and a half hours flew by and I was surprised that the movie was over so quickly.
At first, I could not believe that there was a microphone visible in many scenes, but I soon realized it was most likely due to the movie being shown in the wrong aspect ratio, a suspicion that was confirmed today when I talked to the theater management about it (I was compensated with a free movie pass). Needless to say, that affected the experience negatively, but the movie itself is excellent.
