Peter Ericson’s review published on Letterboxd :
When I purchased the DVD in early January I didn’t know much about the movie; I based my purchase on the very positive reviews I had read. After having seen the movie I can say that this is definitely not a purchase that I regret making.
"Big Fish" is an excellent, beautiful, and visually fantastic movie, a tribute to the imagination. As I watched the movie an unusual feeling came over me, culminating as the final scenes of the movie played out in front of me. I just sat there in the sofa as the credits rolled, contemplating what I had seen in the last two hours.
What a wonderful movie! Definitely one of the best movies I have seen in a long time.
"Big Fish" ends with these words: "A man tells his stories so many times that he becomes the stories. They live on after him. And in that way, he becomes immortal." So very true. We all live on after our bodily death through our relationships with others, through others’ memories of us, and through our stories.
